Welcome to the Manned Space Flight Division
Our goal at the Manned Space Flight Division is to simulate the many
manned missions that have and will be conducted by the real NASA in a
Microsoft Flight Simulator/Orbiter environment. In addition, as we push
the limits of space exploration, we will explore what NASA may do in
future manned exploration of the universe.
The Manned Space Flight Division reports into the SimNASA Johnson Space
Center.

Manned Space Program
The
Manned Space Flight Division (MSF) is SimNASA's lead center for manned
exploration of the solar system. By simulating real time manned
spaceflight operations, SimNASA members will experience the highest level
of simulation.
Don't kid yourself, MSF
operations ARE ROCKET SCIENCE and we will be with you the entire way as
you experience the thrill of leaving behind Earth and exploring the great
unknown as so few had done before. Using Orbiter, a space flight
simulator created by Dr. Martin Schweiger, you will have a front row
seat in exploring the universe with others.

Manned
Space Flight Division Training Program
All pilots who join SimNASA
are eligible to participate in the MSF Mission Specialist Training program
after meeting the program prerequisite requirements. Each
application will be evaluated on a case-by-case bases to validate that all
requirements have been met. Once an applicant is approved, they will
start a challenging training program to qualify for spaceflight selection.
At the end of the training program, all successful pilots will be awarded
the coveted Astronaut Wings.
After the completion of the
first spaceflight, each individual will be awarded their Mission
Specialist Wings and be given further opportunities to enter the Astronaut
Pilot training track and Commander track. |
Projects - Past, Present and Future
MSF goal is to explore the
universe. As part of this goal SimNASA has simulated past NASA
missions and now is currently engaged in exploration beyond where NASA has
explored.
There are currently 64 Missions Found.
